Vellichor Afternoons

I like trip-hop, anachronism, cats, both coffee and tea, the sound of rain on a tin roof, antique keys, pop culture as a substitute for religion, theatre, photography, Oxford commas, and, of course, reading.

Fifty Shades of Grey - E.L. James If you're going to read smut--which I condone--at least pick good smut.

This is not.

This is bad.

Badly written, badly plotted, badly characterized, and just plain abusive. (Of both the reader and the character.)

Some books I read just so I can be an asshole about telling everyone how horrible the book they love is.
This is one of those books.

Also, upon meeting someone recently, she found out I love to read and said, "Oh my god, did you read Fifty Shades of Grey?!? I thought it was SO GOOD! The writing was great!" And see, having read it saved me all the time of even vaguely trying to be that girl's friend.
