Vellichor Afternoons

I like trip-hop, anachronism, cats, both coffee and tea, the sound of rain on a tin roof, antique keys, pop culture as a substitute for religion, theatre, photography, Oxford commas, and, of course, reading.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Omnibus, Vol. 1 - Eric Powell, Joss Whedon The place to begin if you miss Buffy and want to dip back into the Buffyverse. Well done as a comic; this volume includes a pretty close transcription of Whedon's screemplay that became the movie, as well as the story of things that happen to Buffy prior to her move to Sunnydale. We also see how Giles became her Watcher, and there is also an adventure of Spike & Drusilla at the 1933 World's Fair.

Actually, I was surprised how well it all translated to comic format. It looks good, reads with the same biting wit I always enjoyed, and was loads of fun. I'd recommend it to fans of the show in a heartbeat.
